are eyeing up a summer move for Newcastle United's, it has been claimed. While signing a new No.9 is thought to be their priority, Mikel Arteta's side also want to strengthen out wide.
Bukayo Saka is the Gunners' first-choice right winger and is expected to continue in that position. Ethan Nwaneri, who deputised when Saka was out injured, is set to provide back up and competition for him.
Meanwhile, Arsenal's left-hand side might need improvement. Gabriel Martinelli is often preferred in that area, but he has been inconsistent this season, having scored 10 goals and added six assists in 49 matches this season. Raheem Sterling and Leandro Trossard have both been used as alternatives.

But with Sterling returning to Chelsea at the end of his loan spell in the summer and Trossard's long-term future uncertain, Arsenal might need to go into the market for a new left winger.
Someone that has been mentioned regarding a summer move to the Emirates Stadium is Newcastle and England forward Gordon. The Gunners were linked with the 24-year-old last summer but opted to sign Sterling on loan from Chelsea instead, with Gordon deciding to stay at St James' Park.
Now, it has been reported that Arsenal are eyeing up a move for Gordon. Speaking on NBC Sports, David Ornstein analysed the Gunners' summer transfer targets and revealed the wide area is a position they are "focusing on".
Ornstein said: "They'll be looking at the wide positions like Anthony Gordon and Nico Williams. We see more everyday with Antoine Semenyo and Rafael Leao in the press.
"I don't know on the veracity on all of them, but it is a position that Arsenal are focusing on."
As for Arsenal's search for a new No.9, Viktor Gyokeres appears to be their first-choice target. Reports in Portugal claimed on Saturday that - anticipated to be in the region of £63.5million - to sign the Sweden international.
Arteta's men are said to have everything 'agreed' with Gyokeres, who has a £85m release clause in his contract but Sporting are expected to allow him to leave for much less.
Orstein added: "Arsenal's recruitment plans are vast and at the top of the list is a No.9. Now, there are fewer of them in the market than they would like. There is an imbalance in supply and demand, but there are some options. We've been talking for so long about Alexander Isak.
"Of course, Arsenal and Mikel Arteta really like him, but I don't think that is realistic for them or probably for anybody else. Let's see if Newcastle finish in the Champions League or not. Even if they don't and he's available for sale, it will be a huge price and I don't think that is realistic.
"So, then they look at the likes of Benjamin Sesko who they've done a lot of work on. But I do think they have some reservations around him, maybe on the price, maybe on the player, he remains in the mix.
"As does Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon. Huge reports from myself and others in recent months on him, he's a player that sporting director Andrea Berta really likes, he's possibly the best value for money option out there. But the time is ticking and other interest is building. We know Ruben Amorim at Manchester United likes him, so let's see if Arsenal move on that sooner rather than later."
