The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Sports Trainers. This recruitment process will fill a total of 379 Sports Trainee positions, including 152 for the General category, 61 for SC, 4 for ST, 68 for OBC, 45 for OBC, 11 for OBC women, and 38 for EWS candidates. The application process for these positions will begin on October 9, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online until October 11, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in India. Additionally, candidates must possess a Diploma in Sports Coaching in a relevant sport from the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports and meet other prescribed eligibility criteria. Candidates must have represented the country in a recognized international competition or represented the state in an international or national championship.
Age Limit
The minimum age for applying is 21 years. Furthermore, the maximum age for general category candidates is 37 years, and for OBC and general category women is 40 years. Additionally, the maximum age for SC and ST candidates is 42 years.
Selection Method
Candidates will be selected based on a written examination and an interview. The written examination will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions from general awareness, allied science in sports, and sports subjects, carrying 150 marks. An interview will also be conducted for those selected in this examination, carrying 50 marks.
Application Fee
To apply, candidates must pay an application fee. The application fee is ₹100.
