Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has issued a notification for recruitment to the posts of Office Attendant / Parichari (Special). According to the notification, the application process for this recruitment will start from 25th August and will continue till the last date, 24th September 2025. Candidates who are looking for a government job and are eligible for this recruitment will be able to fill out the form by visiting the official websitebssc.bihar.gov.in through online mode within the prescribed dates.
Only a 10th pass is eligible for recruitment.
To apply for Office Attendant posts, it is mandatory for the candidates to have passed 10th / Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board/institute. Along with this, the minimum age of the candidates should be 18 years. The maximum age is as follows, according to the category-
Unreserved (male): 37 years
Backward class and extremely backward class (male and female): 40 years
Unreserved female: 40 years
Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe: 42 years
Disabled candidates of all categories: 10 years extra from the maximum age according to the category
Application process and fee
All candidates will be able to fill out the form only through online mode to apply for this recruitment. Applications in any other way will not be accepted. Unreserved, OBC candidates from outside Bihar state will have to deposit Rs 540 as a fee along with the application. The fee for SC, ST, disabled, and female candidates of all categories has been fixed at Rs 135.
How will the selection be done?
To be selected in this recruitment, candidates will have to appear in the examination. Objective-type questions will be asked in the written examination. The number of questions will be 100. 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Questions in the question paper will be asked from General Mathematics, General Knowledge, and General Hindi subjects.
To qualify in this exam, the unreserved category will have to get 40% marks, the backward class will have to get 36.5%, the extremely backward class will have to get 34%, SC, ST, Divyang and women candidates will have to get 32% marks to qualify in the exam.
