EPFO is going to launch the EPFO 3.0 platform soon, which will bring a big change in PF services. With this new system, withdrawing, updating, and claiming PF will become significantly easier than before.
Crores of people work across the country and every month some money from their salary is deposited in EPFO i.e. Provident Fund account. This money helps a lot after retirement or in any important time. Till now it was not easy to withdraw it. Employees used to face a lot of problems due to long process, documentation and time. Now all this is going to change. EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) is going to launch EPFO 3.0 platform soon, which will bring a big change in PF services. With this new system, withdrawing, updating and claiming PF will become many times easier than before.
What is EPFO 3.0 and why is it special?
EPFO 3.0 will be a new digital platform, which is being designed especially keeping in mind the facilities of PF account holders. Its purpose is that employees can easily do the work related to their PF account themselves without visiting any office. The biggest feature of this platform will be that now PF money can also be withdrawn through methods like ATM and UPI.
How can PF money be withdrawn from ATM?
Now EPFO is preparing to give an EPFO Withdrawal Card to its account holders. This card will be exactly like a bank ATM card and it will be linked to your PF account. You will be able to withdraw money by inserting it in any ATM. This card will be available only to those employees who have linked their UAN (Universal Account Number) with Aadhaar and bank account.
PF money can also be withdrawn through UPI
Just like you send or withdraw money from a bank account through PhonePe, Google Pay or Paytm, similarly now you will be able to withdraw money from your PF account through UPI. For this, you have to link your UPI ID to your PF account. Now withdrawing money in an emergency will be just one click away and you will get rid of the long document process.
This platform was to be launched in June 2025, but it got delayed due to technical testing. Now it will be launched very soon. Officials say that as soon as the system is fully ready, it will be implemented across the country.
