Reliance Jio has turned nine, and it’s celebrating in style. The telecom giant on Wednesday announced a series of offers, including free unlimited data and special benefits for both 4G and 5G users.
What’s in the offer?
Starting 5 September to 5 October 2025, Jio users subscribed to plans priced at Rs 349 and above will get one month of unlimited data. The offer also comes bundled with entertainment and other app subscriptions, making it more than just a data giveaway.
Currently, unlimited 5G data is only available to users with 5G smartphones on plans of Rs 349 or higher. With this move, Jio is extending the benefit for a limited time to celebrate its milestone.
Weekend surprise for all users
From 5 to 7 September, Jio will offer unlimited free data on weekends. All 5G smartphone users, irrespective of their plan cost, can enjoy this perk. For 4G users, unlimited data will also be available, though capped at 3GB of high-speed usage for a nominal charge of Rs 39.
Extra perks for loyal subscribers
In addition to data freebies, Jio has introduced a loyalty reward. Subscribers who complete 12 on-time monthly recharges of Rs 349 will receive the 13th month absolutely free. For those looking at home services, Jio has also announced a two-month free service under its Rs 1,200 JioHome Connection plan.
Akash Ambani’s message
Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani expressed gratitude to customers, saying: “On Jio's 9th anniversary, I feel truly humbled that more than 500 million Indians have placed their trust in us. Reaching this scale within a single nation is a reflection of how deeply Jio has become a part of everyday life. I want to personally thank every single Jio user for making this milestone possible.”
Why it matters
Jio’s 9th anniversary offers not only celebrate the company’s journey but also highlight its continued focus on making data affordable and accessible to millions. With over half a billion users, Jio’s latest announcement is bound to make weekends a lot more exciting for its subscribers.
