The wait finally ended for lakhs of engineering aspirants as the JEE (Advanced) 2025 results were announced today, setting off waves of celebration across the nation. Among the top achievers was 17-year-old Parth Mandar Vartak from Vile Parle, Mumbai, who achieved an All India Rank (AIR) 4 with an impressive score of 327 out of 360.
A calm achiever with a passion for math
A student at Narayana CO Techno School, Parth said he had hoped for a strong showing, but securing a national top-five rank still felt surreal. “I knew I had done well, but this rank exceeded all expectations,” he shared, speaking shortly after the results went live.
What truly set his performance apart was a perfect 120/120 in mathematics, a subject he has always loved. “Math has always been close to my heart. I plan to study Computer Science at IIT-Bombay, but I might return to math later through research,” he said.
Discipline, balance, and a beat of his own
Parth’s journey to the top was a result of intense dedication over two years, but it wasn’t all books and exams. A trained tabla player, Parth carved out moments to stay connected to music, which he credits for helping him manage stress. “Tabla was a creative outlet. It helped me stay calm and focused,” he explained.
Beyond academics, he also found time to unwind with fiction novels and table tennis, ensuring he remained mentally refreshed throughout the rigorous preparation process.
Parth’s success in JEE Advanced follows his equally stellar academic record. He scored an impressive 98% in the Class XII board exams, proving his commitment to excellence across all academic fronts.
Coming from a family rooted in education—his mother an Ayurveda doctor and his father an engineer—Parth was always surrounded by intellectual encouragement. While he credits his teachers and parents for their constant support, his own inner drive played a key role in shaping his success.
With IIT-Bombay now firmly in his sights, Parth is ready to embrace the next chapter in his academic journey. His story stands as an inspiration to aspiring engineers across India—showing that success isn't just about long study hours, but also about balance, passion, and quiet perseverance.
