Mumbai: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed key infrastructure projects – 18 ongoing and 15 new – across Mumbai on Monday, and ordered immediate land acquisition for the Magathane to Goregaon DP Road.
He also asked the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority to transfer tenements for project-affected persons to the BMC without delay.
The ‘war room’ meeting chaired by the CM included a detailed review of several infrastructure projects across Mumbai, Vidarbha, Marathwada and western Maharashtra.

Key projects discussed included: Mumbai Metro Line 2B (DN Nagar to Mandale), Metro Line 4 (Wadala to Kasarvadavali), Metro Line 5 (Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan), Metro Line 6 (Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli), Metro Line 7A (Andheri to CSM International Airport Terminal 2) and Metro Line 9 (Dahisar East to Mira Bhayander). The meeting focused on assessing the current status of these projects and addressing the challenges faced during execution.
Fadnavis emphasised fast-tracking the land acquisition process and securing necessary forest and environmental permissions without delay. He instructed departments to prepare zonal master plans where required and adopt advanced technologies for accurate surveying, especially in large-scale projects like the Dharavi redevelopment.
