Asda has announced the launch of its first-ever fixed price meal deal - costing £3.74 for a main, snack and drink.
The meal deal is available for all shoppers, with no loyalty cards needed, and it replaces the current three for two deal at Asda Food to Go counters.
The supermarket says shoppers can save up to 50% in comparison to buying the items individually. Some of the items available include own-brand classics, like the Asda Chicken and Bacon Sandwich, as well as branded favourites like Doritos crisps and Coca Cola Zero.

That’s why we’re launching the new £3.74 Meal Deal that is completely open to all customers – with no app or membership required, and a big range of products to choose from so there’s something for everyone.”
Asda has revealed its current best-selling main is the classic Asda Cheese & Onion Sandwich, priced at £1.42. This currently sells over 50,000 a week.

The price of the premium Tesco meal deal has increased from £5 to £5.50 for those with a Clubcard, and from £5.50 to £6 for those without.

In more Asda news, the supermarket recently announced plans to refurbish 180 of its in-store cafes as part of a £180million investment.
The upgrades will include digital ordering screens and table ordering service, which will be available alongside manned tills.
A new menu will is also being introduced with new dishes including smashed avocado on toast, katsu chicken curry, topped salad bowls, wraps and a new sharing range that includes nachos and loaded fries.
Asda pizzas will also become part of the new menu with customers able to choose a full 12" pizza or individual slices, including margherita, pepperoni, American sizzler, spicy chicken, meat feast, ham and mushroom or veggie supreme.
