Daniel Dubois sparked fears after arriving at Wembley Stadium just 90 minutes before his heavyweight rematch with Oleksandr Usyk this evening.
The British star is looking to level the series after suffering the second defeat of his professional career to the Ukrainian back in 2023. Usyk would go on to stop 'Triple D' in the ninth round in Poland. However, the fight was not without drama after Dubois sent the 'Cat' crashing to the canvas with what many believed was a shot to the body. That said, it was later ruled a low blow - much to the frustration of Team Dubois.
'Triple D' has been on an absolute tear as of late, defeating Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic, before picking up the biggest win of his career last September. Dubois stopped two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua at Wembley with a vicious knockout in the fifth round.

With 'Triple D' in the form of his life, the 27-year-old is confident he can become the first man to ever beat Usyk. A few of the Ukrainian's teammates were competing on the undercard, therefore, the 38-year-old decided to turn up just after 7pm support his good friends. That said, fans were left concerned after the DAZN commentary team confirmed Dubois was still yet to arrive - just 90 minutes before the main event.
Thankfully, the concerns were short-lived after Dubois was shown on the big screen arriving just after 9:15pm UK time - much to the delight of the fans in attendance. The boxing faithful were quick to take to X - formerly known as Twitter - and have their say on the topic.
"Daniel Dubois clearly thought rocking up late at Wembley worked so well for Anthony Joshua last year that he should give it a go," wrote one user. Another commented: "He’s taking his time while Usyk is already touching the mits.. I know who I got my money on," while a third posted: "I thought he pulled out for a min. Welp let’s get to it." Another replied: "Only Dubois would show up so late, meanwhile Usyk is already on the pads."
Ahead of the clash, Dubois promised to 'nail Usyk to the canvas' this time - with the expectation that he will attempt to bully the Ukrainian with his bigger size and strength. Recent pictures that emerged before the official weigh-ins showed that Dubois was clearly going for a heavier approach. Over the last few years, 'Triple D' has bulked up significantly. The 27-year-old tends to be closer to the 250lb mark. For his last outing against Joshua, the Brit tipped the scales at a career-heaviest 248lbs.
On Friday, Dubois tipped the scales at 243.8lb, while Usyk came in at 227.3lb. To put it into context, when the pair clashed two years ago, the Ukrainian weighed in at 220.9lb, while 'Triple D' tipped the scales at 233.2lb.
Both men - despite looking raring to go - kept it short and sweet immediately after the weigh-ins. "I am locked in and focused... I cannot wait!" Said Dubois. When asked for his prediction, the 27-year-old replied. "I am going to win by any means necessary." As for Usyk, the Ukrainian was also short of words, saying: "For me it is a great opportunity... for my people and my country. Thank you for Jesus Christ. See you tomorrow!"
