There was a brutal discovery for Caleb Miligan on Emmerdale on Thursday, as he dug up a body in the woods.
But amid the location being given to him by John Sugden, fans are convinced the corpse is not Anthony Fox. Despite John claiming this was where he buried Anthony, murdered by Caleb's wife Ruby Miligan, earlier this year, viewers believe he is lying.
Fans know that Ruby killed her abusive father and John buried the body, while others covered it up. John used this to blackmail Caleb this week, telling him that if he did not help him flee the country he'd tell the police everything in a scheduled email.
Caleb ended up agreeing to help John despite the killer murdering his nephew Nate Robinson. When he helped John get away, John handed him the location information on where he'd apparently buried Anthony's body months earlier.

Wanting to check he wasn't being lied to, Caleb went to the scene and decided to dig to see if a body was there. As Caleb dug a hole in the ground, he suddenly hit something with his shovel and began to investigate.
Caleb began gagging as he realised it was a dead body, and later in the episode he confirmed to Ruby and the others that it was in fact Anthony's corpse. But fans were unsure given how many months had passed whether there would be proof of Anthony's demise.
They believed John had lied to get Caleb to help him, and that it wasn't Anthony's body he led him to. Some fans are still convinced that Anthony may even be alive and might return one day.
Dead or alive, several fans agreed that the body Caleb dug up was not Anthony, but was instead the deer John appeared to kill recently. Taking to social media, fans predicted a new twist in the tale.

One fan posted: "Caleb dug up a dead deer because Anthony is still alive." Another fan agreed: "So I take it Caleb dug up a deer today," to which one fan replied: "That's my assumption."
A further fan echoed this saying: "Mine too. Not identified as Anthony - Robin Hood probably shot a stag with his bow and arrow. Anthony will return. Caleb is a mug to believe John. Who will also be back."
Another fan said: "Won’t be Anthony's body it will be the deer he killed that he had in the back of his van."
