Carlos Alcaraz Wimbledon 2025 final: Carlos Alcaraz has reached his third consecutive Wimbledon final, aiming to defend his title and complete the French Open-Wimbledon double for the second year in a row.

Alcaraz vs Taylor Fritz Wimbledon semifinal: World number two and Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz continues his stellar form as he is just one win away from defending his Wimbledon title after triumphing over Taylor Fritz in the semi-finals on Friday, July 11.

Alcaraz defeated Fritz in three straight sets 6-4, 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (6) to book his place for a third consecutive final at the grass-court Grand Slam , where he won two consecutive titles in 2023 and 2024 defeating Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic both times. Alcaraz continued his fine form after his successful campaigns at the Italian Open, Roland Garros and Queen's Club Championships.

With his semifinal win over Taylor Fritz, Carlos Alcaraz extended his winning streak to 24 matches, which started at the Italian Open. After losing to Denmark's Holger Rune in the Barcelona Open final, the 22-year-old bounced back with a win at the Italian Open and began a 24-match winning streak.

'Try to bring happiness on the court' (Carlos Alcaraz winning moment)

After his semifinal win over Taylor Fritz, Carlos Alcaraz was asked how he has kept the joy of playing tennis amid his stellar form with a 24-match winning streak. In response, the Spanish tennis star said he is not thinking about the streak but about stepping on the 'beautiful' before every match.

"Look, I'm not thinking about these things. I think that's the first thing. Not thinking about the winning streak, not thinking about the results at all. That's all I have to think about, that's my dream," Alcaraz said during an on-court interview.

He added, “My dream is just to step on this beautiful court, just to play tennis in the most beautiful tournament in the world. That's what I try to think about in every tournament, so I try to bring happiness to the court.”

Carlos Alcaraz's third consecutive Wimbledon final is his sixth Grand Slam final overall. Interestingly, the Spanish tennis star has not lost a single Grand Slam final in his last five appearances, winning one US Open title, two French Open titles and two Wimbledon titles - making him one of the youngest players to win five Grand Slam trophies.

Carlos Alcaraz aims to join Bjorn Borg on the elusive list (Carlos Alcaraz Grand Slam titles)

As Carlos Alcaraz enters his third consecutive Wimbledon final, the Spanish tennis star will be aiming for a 'three-peat' at the grass-court Grand Slam tournament, which would join Bjorn Borg, Roger Federer, Pete Sampras and Novak Djokovic as the only people to have won Wimbledon three or more times in a row in the Open Era.

Additionally, the Spaniard aims to join Swedish tennis legend Bjorn Borg as the second player in the Open Era to win the double of the French Open and Wimbledon for the second consecutive year.

Last year, Carlos Alcaraz defended his French Open title and won his first Wimbledon trophy. This year, Alcaraz will be looking to repeat that rare feat once again.

Bjorn Borg was the first player in Open Era tennis history to achieve the French Open-Wimbledon double in two consecutive seasons (1978 and 1979). Alcaraz has a great chance to make his name in tennis with a historic achievement.
