Owaisi Visits Algeria to Expose Pakistan, Pays Tribute at Abdul Qadir's Grave

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, currently in Algeria as part of an all-party parliamentary delegation, addressed the Indian community and strongly criticized Pakistan. During his visit, he also paid respects at the grave of Amir Abdul Qadir, a towering figure in Algeria’s fight against French colonial rule.

Who was Amir Abdul Qadir?

• Amir Abdul Qadir was a 19th-century Islamic scholar, Sufi saint, poet, and military leader.

• He led the Algerian resistance against the French invasion starting in 1830, uniting Arab and Berber tribes to mount an effective fight.

• At a young age, he was elected Amir al-Mu'minin (Commander of the Believers), reflecting his religious integrity and leadership.

• Beyond military prowess, he was known for his moral compass—he famously saved the Christian community of Damascus from massacre in 1860, gaining global respect.

• Abdul Qadir remains a symbol of Algerian independence and resistance to colonialism.
