Celebrity Traitors star Stephen Fry shared a touching apology to fellow co-star Niko Omilana as he declared "he is remarkable".
The 68 year old thespian became the fifth faithful to face banishment at the Round Table following yet another explosive episode on Thursday (October 23) night.
After his departure from the BBC smash hit show, Stephen graced today's (October 25) instalment of Saturday Kitchen with host Matt Tebbutt.
Predictably, conversation turned to the star's stint on the Celebrity version of Traitors and Stephen seized the moment to deliver a sweet message to eliminated contestant Niko.
The YouTuber, 27, became the first celebrity to leave the Celebrity Traitors castle after raising alarm bells amongst his fellow contestants, reports Wales Online
He faced banishment following the initial roundtable, where the surviving contestants cast him out, wrongly believing he was a Traitor.
During that time, his departure proved divisive amongst viewers, with numerous fans dismayed by the choice to eliminate him. Now, it seems Stephen may be having second thoughts about his decision to suspect Niko was a Traitor from the beginning, as he expressed: "I'm so sorry."
Speaking candidly about his journey getting acquainted with some of his co-stars, he revealed: "It's fun for me to be among people who I may not know.
"I mean I knew Jonathan and I knew Alan, Tom Daley I know but there were plenty of people I didn't know especially the younger ones."
Stephen turned his focus to the YouTuber, saying: "Niko, I'm so sorry that I was one of the first to suspect him as a Traitor. What a wonderful man he is and those who don't know him should check out his YouTube, he is remarkable."
In other news, the star confessed that he had no intention of participating in any reality show until he binge-watched the BBC show and became "hooked."
He confessed: "I always said I would never do one of those (reality shows). I've been asked to go to Australia and other reality events but what I liked about this was the nature of the game."
The actor went on: "I had never seen it (Traitors) but by good fortune I was a little unwell and the second series was on and people kept telling me it was good so I started watching and got completely hooked."
Stephen added: "Then two days later my agent called me and said that I had been asked to go on it and I said you know what I think I might say yes and I surprised myself a little because it is something I would turn down because I think it didn't suit me but gosh it was fun."
