ITV The Assembly viewers 'moved' by Danny Dyer's 'heartfelt' episode

Viewers of The Assembly said the same thing just minutes into Danny Dyer's episode on Saturday night (April 26).

The popular programme invites a celebrity to field questions from a group of young people who are autistic, neurodivergent or learning disabled, with the show's description confirming that "no area is out of bounds".

Following a successful BBC pilot last year featuring Michael Sheen, the series has now transitioned to ITV for its latest episodes.

This season features stars such as Gary Lineker, David Tennant, Danny Dyer, and Jade Thirlwall taking turns in the hot seat.

In tonight's episode, EastEnders icon Danny engaged with the youngsters, answering a range of probing questions, reports .

Fans immediately flocked to X (formerly Twitter) as the episode aired, expressing their joy over the show's comeback and commending Danny for his warmth.

He continued: "I'm a bit emotional but that was f***ing amazing that tune. I will say, you better prepare yourself for a bit of fame because I think this show is going to be massive. You lot use your fame responsibly because I never. Thank you for having me."
