M4 traffic LIVE: Motorway at a standstill after car fire causes huge delays

A vehicle fire on the M4 left westbound traffic at a standstill in Swansea between Junction 46 to Junction 47. Traffic monitoring system Inrix said: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to car fire on M4 Westbound from J46 A48 (Llangyfelach) to J47 A483 (Penllergaer / Swansea West Services). Congestion to the opposite side due to the onlookers."

A spokesperson for Traffic Wales said: "Vehicle fire - M4 westbound J46 Llangyfelach - J47 Penllergaer. Both lanes are blocked at this time - Updates to follow."
