There's nothing like getting nice and cosy under a blanket as the autumn sets in and it starts to get cooler. The Proaller Heated Blanket Electric Throw in grey is £32.29 as an Amazon Prime Big Deal, offering a 15% saving from its usual price of £37.99.
Made of soft flannel and sherpa cashmere, the blanket is thick and warm even when not turned on. At 160cm by 130cm it is wide enough to cover two adults, or it could also be used as a cosy throw on the sofa.
Those who have bought the blanket (Amazon says over 5,000 have been bought in the last month) love how practical it is, as it's washable, easy to use, and has a 9-hour programmable timer function. Its automatic cut-off feature is also useful too, in the event users fall asleep while snuggled under it.

Fully compliant with CE, UKCA, and RoHS safety standards, it has 10 adjustable heat settings, and once the temperature exceeds the limit, the power is automatically turned off. It's running cost is as low as 3p an hour based on current UK Energy Tariffs (correct at the beginning of October). The remote control and cable are fully detachable, so it can be machine washed, and the brand recommends washing it at 40 degrees.
There are also two larger sizes. The 180cm by 130cm is £42.49, a 15% saving from its usual £49.99. And the 200cm by 150cm is now £47.59, down from £55.99. These are also grey, but there are also other colours available, including black, blue, pink, beige and green, all with varying prices.
An alternative option is the StaySnug Velvety Taupe Heated Throw, which is available from Lakeland for £39.99. This one has a choice of 9 heat settings and 9 timer settings. At a higher price point is the Dreamland Intelliheat Warming Throw, for sale at Boots for £49.69, which is described as having "intelligent software and a 5-layer ultra-thin heating sensor wire".
Owners of the Proaller blanket have said they are thrilled with how warm and cosy it is, giving it a 4.4 out of 5 star average rating on Amazon. One said: "This is a great product, heats up quickly and is a great size. It's nice and cosy even when not switched on."
Others raved about how practical it is, with one review saying: "It's the perfect size for the couch or bed, and the fact that it's machine washable is a huge bonus. I love that it has the heat settings and an adjustable timer. It heats up fast and evenly, and I don't have to worry about overheating or falling asleep with it on, since it turns off on its own."
It is also made working from home that bit easier for one, who said: "Fantastic item, a real game changer for people who work at home and don't want to keep the heating on. Really pleased. Lovely quality and heats up quickly."
Another reviewer said they were pleased overall, but added "the only thing I could say bad about it is there is a bit of a gap on each side that doesn't heat up". And one person loved the blanket but had feedback about the cable, saying: "Short wire/lead however very soft and comfortable."
