TV presenter Rylan Clark reflected on his blissful month away with pal Robert Rinder as he confirmed his farewell to Greece. The pair joined forces for their BBC Two travel series,Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour, which has already seen them explore Italy and India. Taking to Instagram, the former X-Factor star announced "that's a wrap" as he confirmed that filming for the third series of their show has officially ended and revealed that the episodes would air next year. The dynamic duo first embarked on their epic adventure in 2024, as they went on an educational tour across three Italian cities.
They looked at some of the country's greatest art treasures in Venice, Florence, and Rome, following in the footsteps of 19th-century romantic poet Lord Byron and other Grand Tourists. Rob and Rylan also attempted to conduct an orchestra and shine a light on the city's hidden side. The first series was such a success that bosses commissioned another, in which the pair reunited to explore the wisdom, art and culture of India. During the episodes, Rylan and Rob travelled to New Delhi, they ventured into an erotic temple, tried mud wrestling for spiritual growth and visited the holiest temple.
As the second series aired on Tuesday (October 14) and was under way, the TV stars were already closing in on their third getaway and were busy filming their "Greek Odyssey."
Rylan and Rob were sent on a mission to find out how to make today's world a better place by learning from the wisdom of the ancient Greeks.
As the 36-year-old announced, "That's a wrap," he shared a string of photos captioned, "Rob and Rylan's Greek Odyssey. Coming next year."
Among the snaps was one of the pair admiring the scenic sunset while on a boat ride, a sneak glimpse of Rylan dressed as a Greek warrior and one of the pair wearing masks and seemingly taking part in a play.
The post sparked elation among his 2.5million followers, one of whom penned: "I've just binged the last two series! And omg I loved them. You both are the best kind of humans, can't wait for this one."
"Yes I love watching you two, wondered where you would go next. I think you would both love Iceland or Marrakesh," echoed another.
A third added: "Can't wait to see this new series, absolutely love watching you two together."
As a fourth shared: "We love watching your travels, but it's your friendship that cements everything."
Rob's touching message was also among the thousands of fans, as he commented: "Travelling with a friend turns the road into home."
The BBC previously said that Rob and Rylan's journey will be a three-part series and will take them from the splendour of the Acropolis in Athens to the Oracle at Delphi, to understanding the heroes of Sparta and getting to the root of hedonism on Mykonos.
