You might be thinking of getting away from the UK for your holiday but these destinations could make you think again. Which? has revealed the top seven seaside spots that you won't need to fly out of the country for - and there's some stunning places on the list.
Its research considered hotel prices, beaches, seafront/ pier areas, food and drink, accommodation, tourist attractions, scenery, shopping, parking, peace and quiet, and finally, value for money.
It then concluded a general destination score to determine the best overall UK spots.


You'll find this area nestled on the Jurassic Coast, with stunning red cliffs and family-friendly beaches.
Sidmouth is perfect for dramatic coastal walks. It gained just two stars out of five for its parking but was awarded five stars for its scenery.

Renowned for its traditional feel, boat trips, and fresh seafood straight from the bay, the spot just missed out on first place.
The beach was rated three stars out of five, as was its seafront and pier, however it only achieved two stars for its tourist attractions.
