Getting a good night's sleep during the winter months can be challenging without a good duvet. This is why it's worth investing in a quality duvet with a tog rating between 12 and 15 to keep you warm when the cold weather hits.
Fortunately, for those who don't want to break the bank on a down duvet for the upcoming season, Amazon has several deals on synthetic alternatives that will do the job, like the Slumberdown Feels Like Down.
The duvet is available in single, double, king and super-king, but is currently on sale in single and king size, in both 13.5 and 15 tog, reports Devon Live.
The best deal available is for the single 13.5 tog duvet, which normally retails for £26.39, and is currently discounted by 31.8%, making it £18.
Reduced to £21.56 from £31.19, the king-size duvet in the same tog rating is discounted by 27%.
Discounts are also available for the 15 tog duvets in the same sizes: the single is down from £34.79 to £28.35, and the king is down from £41.99 to £39.60.
Thick, breathable, and insulated, the Feels Like Down range claims to offer the same comfort as luxurious down duvets without the weight. Instead of being filled with duck or goose feathers, it's packed with soft hollow fibres that make it lighter without sacrificing warmth.
This Slumberdown range is also loved for being hypoallergenic, claiming not to "contain any materials which are likely to cause allergies". This also makes it easy to look after as it can simply be popped into the washing machine.
With nearly 2,000 reviews on Amazon, the duvet has a 4.5 out of five rating. One delighted buyer said the duvet was "lovely and lightweight...yet warm and snuggly," adding it was "good quality and reasonably priced".
Another shopper likened it to a "fluffy cloud" and said it "literally makes my old duvet look like a sheet of paper".
Some people have noted that it "looks and feels much more expensive" than it is.
"WOW," another shopper who ended up buying three duvets exclaimed, "I usually spend a fortune on duvets, The White Company and Dorma mainly and usually cost me way over £100 a time. Well I will not be doing that again now have discovered this range... Thanks Slumberdown, the duvet is the best ever."
However, a reviewer felt that the duvet was "too heavy", while another said its "like down" claim is somewhat overstated. They wrote: "Right off the bat, it doesn't feel like a down duvet. Overall it's a good duvet, but if you are buying hoping it will feel like a feather duvet, you will be disappointed."
