Ayoung girl tragically died in hospital after she was left fighting for her life following a traffic incident. The girl. believed to be of secondary school age, was taken to hospitalafter being hit by a large Dacia Duster SUV in Weeting, Norfolk.
Emergency services responded quickly to the incident, ensuring she received urgent medical attention following the collision on November 8. The girl was immediately rushed to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with life threatening injuries after the car smashed into her. However, she has now been pronounced dead, the police has said.
An investigation has been launched to assess more details about the tragic collision. Norfolk Constabulary is requesting for any witnesses to the horror to come forward
The force said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have any relevant dashcam footage. The driver is assisting police with their enquiries.
"Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch via the following channels, quoting reference NC-08112025-345."
The driver involved in the collision is reportedly cooperating with the police as they carry out their investigation.
Authorities are continuing to look into the circumstances of the incident, with the driver providing assistance to help establish what happened.
