As for Wales, Devon and Cornwall, slightly cooler will be felt with an average of around 16C.

But on Sunday, May 4, more areas will see with most parts of the UK seeing at least 17C.

This time, the warmer will stretch all the way up to Scotland with Wick, one of the northernmost points, to see 18C.

The only areas to miss out on 20C will be some parts of Wales, some parts of the south west, some parts of the north west, and some parts of the East Midlands.

On Sunday, May 4, at midnight, maps show skies over the UK will mostly be clear and free from any precipitation.

However, some areas will be cloudier than others with brief clouds over Cornwall, Dover and the north of Scotland.

The long-range says: "Fairly changeable at first, with cloud and rain moving slowly east across the UK, probably easing and breaking into showers as it does so, with more settled conditions developing later in the weekend away from the far northwest.

"Into the following week, it will most probably be high-pressure dominated, with large amounts of fine weather, and perhaps the odd heavy shower, especially in the south.

"Any more unsettled interludes liable to be brief and mainly affecting western or northwestern UK."

It adds that there is a small chance of an alternative scenario coming off, with cloudier and wetter weather more extensive, especially across the south and west of the UK.
