Samsung's recent Unpacked event revealed a load of juicy upgrades for the newest devices, including the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the Fold7.
Our tech experts flew over and even tried out the newest Galaxy Z Fold7 - and they were massively impressed thanks to the new slimmer design, better battery life and a bigger screen.
But one device that didn't get much screen time was the Galaxy Watch Ultra. That's because the watch didn't see a huge number of upgrades. Samsung announced that the watch would get a storage bump and a new colour.
However, the South Korean tech giants are now attempting to lure customers in with a £150 freebie. Samsung is handing out a free charger and strap with the £599 watch for a limited time.
For those who really want the new upgrades, the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra might be worth picking up, especially as Samsung is letting shoppers hand in any watch and get £100 off the device.
However, due to the price, the watch's upgrades over the older device are probably not worth it for the majority of shoppers. In comparison, the 2024 Galaxy Watch Ultra without the storage bump can be picked up for £449 from Currys right here, albeit without any freebies included.
For Apple fans, BackMarket is offering the Watch Ultra for £389-much more affordable than the Galaxy Watch Ultra, despite being refurbished - and it even comes with a 12-month warranty.
Our experts reviewed the Galaxy Watch Ultrain July last year, and despite its problems, it remains one of the best Android smartwatches on the market. Tech expert Henry Burrell said: "Overall, it's not that the Galaxy Watch Ultra is a bad product, it just feels like Samsung can't decide what it wants to prioritise with its smartwatches and what its design principles are.
"I'm more impressed when Samsung sticks to its guns with wearables such as the Watch 6 Classic - unashamedly circular, rotating bezel, smart enough to wear to a formal event. In comparison, the Galaxy Watch Ultra looks stuck between two design choices.
"With the Ultra, Samsung has built a solid outdoor and fitness watch, but like with the Apple Watch lineup, you probably don't need to buy this expensive one. It's both cheaper than the Apple Watch Ultra 2 - currently £779 at Amazon - but somehow still feels a little overpriced when you can get most of its features on the slimmer Galaxy Watch 7 that's about half the cost."
