Three kids drown while bathing in pond in Dholpur

Jaipur/Alwar: Three children from the same family drowned while bathing in a pond at Sarmathura area in Dholpur district Friday. They went to cool off in the water amid rising temperatures.

According to Sarmathura SHO Kripal Singh, the children, identified as Arun (12), Pranshu (10), and Himanshu (8), were all residents of Sedpada village in Sarmathura. The three entered a small pond near the highway when they accidentally moved into deeper waters and were unable to swim back.

Nearby villagers who saw the children struggling in the water rushed to help and informed their families. The children were pulled from the pond and taken to Sarmathura Hospital, but doctors declared them dead.

Pranshu and Himanshu were brothers, while Arun was their cousin. Their bodies have been placed in the hospital mortuary.
