He is seen enjoying a serene shikara ride in Kashmir with his wife Pallavi. “We really like this, very good service, thank you,” he says, smiling and giving a thumbs-up. Hours later, he was shot dead in a terror attack in Pahalgam. “My husband died right in front of me. I couldn't cry or react,” Pallavi later told a Kannada TV channel. When she confronted the attacker, he chillingly said, “Nahin marenge. Tum Modi ko jaake bolo.” Their son Abhijeya witnessed it all. The family’s joy was shattered in an instant.
