Participants don traditional attire and exchange gifts, spending quality time with family and relatives to fully enjoy the day.

During an event known as Qurbani, millions of goats and various other animals are sacrificed on Bakrid in India alone. Many individuals in India struggle to afford meat regularly, and the guidelines for Qurbani require that a portion of the meat be shared with the less fortunate. Some individuals may even dedicate a significant part of their income to purchase an animal and perform this ritual. Some people may choose to donate money to charities that provide meat and other essential items to those in need.
