JAMMU : Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi reviewed Saturday operational preparedness of troops during a visit to Pargwal in Jammu’s Akhnoor sector in the wake of Operation Sindoor .
“General Dwivedi visited Tiger Division , where he commended troops for outstanding performance in Operation Sindoor. General Dwivedi stressed the importance of staying agile and vigilant in response to evolving security dynamics,” Jammu defence PRO Lt Col Suneel Bartwal said.
General Dwivedi praised BSF ’s close operational integration with the Army and lauded the bravery of an assistant commandant, Neha Bhandari, and her team for defending forward posts in Akhnoor, Col Bartwal said. “COAS (Gen Dwivedi) also acknowledged valuable contributions of ex-servicemen in supporting the forces during Operation Sindoor,” the spokesperson said.
On Friday, General Dwivedi had inspected forward areas and posts along Jammu division’s Sunderbani sector. He was briefed by commanders on the security scenario and operational dynamics along LoC as part of a comprehensive overview of the current strategic environment, officials said.
