An earthquake of 5.4 magnitude has jolted Myanmar on Saturday night, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
The tremors were recorded at 9.24pm IST at a depth of 55 kilometers.
In a post on X, NCS shared the seismic details: "EQ of M: 5.4, On: 17/05/2025 21:24:51 IST, Lat: 21.32 N, Long: 96.03 E, Depth: 55 Km, Location: Myanmar."
The epicentre was located near latitude 25.05°N and longitude 99.72°E, indicating moderate seismic activity in the region.
There are no immediate reports of damage or casualties. More details awaited.
